Pinehurst, NC - Moore County KC - entered small show so I would show Coda myself and get more experience for me. Saturday, to my complete shock, under Judge Mary Ann Alston, we were WD and BOS and BOB-puppy. (Nothing like looking at the judge and asking, "do you mean me?") Later that afternoon Puppy Sporting Group 3!! Wow. (Today we did not do anything but win our puppy class of one - but I was even more nervous today than yesterday!) Congrats to Jennifer Workman and her Tully (K-Jen's One in a Million) for going BOB today!

I am in real need of more handling classes and perhaps valium before I show him in sweeps at the National - but for your enjoyment -- Here are some snapshots friends took from yesterday. Thanks to Lauren Williams for showing Coda in puppy group for me.

I got a kick out of your valium comment- there really is such an adrenilin rush of pure fear when trying something new with dogs and horses. Then, by the next year, you're an old hand and can't recall what seemed so scary. . . You have a beautiful pup there; HE does not need valium, lol.

Thanks everyone. I am still in the clouds. I don't think anyone ever expects to get points from a puppy class - and with my very own puppy I bred! He has his flaws and is still a baby - but oh how I love him! He is just the happiest puppy. Love his mom even more!

Not sure when the smile from Saturday will subside! Thanks for letting me show my pride in my pup!

Thanks everyone!

You know, the best part of that shocking point is that now, a week later I am still smiling! I can't believe my baby puppy now has 3 points - Regardless - win or lose, he is such an amazing, sweet, lovable, silly and oh so happy boy.

Now.... if those show win pictures would just get to my mailbox!

We will just have to do that! We would love to meet you all. Durham Kennel Club is a great, active club! I am in Raleigh, but close enough! And, yes, I am very happy with the pup (even more so with his mom!)
