...if it is safe to give a dog an old rawhide bone?
I have been cleaning out the attic and came across
a box that had a toy and two old rawhide bones from
one of our other dogs. One was brand new and the
other was just chewed on alittle bit. They have been
up there since we moved almost 15 yrs. ago. I hate
to just throw them away but if they might be bad
of course I will. Any thoughts?

I would definitely throw them away if they're that old. It's way too risky.

We don't do rawhide at our house - it makes Tucker crazy! Honestly, though, I would throw them away. Rawhides are relatively inexpensive - why risk it? :)

We no longer do rawhide at our house either....I've heard too many horror stories about it....especially since our Phoenix passed in March of bloat.

Throw them away!!!

Hi,
I probably would throw them away if they are old.
My Golden LOVED rawhide, and I have been wondering if they are unsafe. She would chew them up and eat the whole thing. They were her favorite.
What are everyone's opinions on them? Please advise.
Thanks!
