Hello! My name is Abby and this

is my dog dexter. I got him at the pound 9 months ago. He weighs almost 30 pounds.
I was watching Oprah today when I saw a picture of her dog Luke. He looked like my dog. I googled and learned that Luke was a white golden. Then I read that there was no such thing as a white golden.
The pound had my dog listed as a spitz mix, but when I look at pictures of white or cream Goldens, I see my dog.
Does anyone think Dexter is a Golden?

Your dog is absolutely beautiful!

I think DEXTER could be a Golden Mix.
How old is he?

To me it really doesn't matter whether my dogs are mixes or purebreds.
I adopted my Golden Ret. from a Golden Ret. Rescue.

Thanks. He is my first dog I have had on my own and I love him so much! He is almost 2 years old. He loves getting into trouble, and by trouble I mean used tissue and kitty litter! Other than that, he's pretty smart. He was easy to housebreak and usually learns a command in a couple of days. He also has a great run. When he's really going his long hair flows behind him like a cape. It's adorable!

Dexter is beautiful and sounds like he could be a golden/spitz or golden mixed with something smaller.

What a beautiful guy!

Thank you so MUCH for saving his life!!

Dexter is gorgeous. I would love to see more pictures of him. Sorry I don't have a definitive answer for you. I do not know much about mixes. I do think his fur looks very much like a golden, however, the shape of his face not so much.

Dexter is a handsome fella. You could try one of the dog dna tests, if you are really curious. On the other hand, the first test we did said that Jackson was mostly husky will some english bulldog and llasa apso. That's funny since he surely looks like a golden to every who meets him.

I always get shelter dogs or whatever I find so I am no help on guessing Dexter's breed background.

I do know that he is absolutely adorable and sounds quite smart. Send more pictures. I still won't have a clue about his breed, but they would be fun to look at. You can't see too many cute dog pictures. ;):p::):wavey:
