Our fifteen year and one month old golden was diagnosed with cutaneous lymphoma about 4 months ago.
We began to notice her nose discoloring from black/liver to pink and followed by a lot of dandruff and hair loss in clumps. The vet originally thought she might have a type of pemphigus but after a biopsy, we got the bad news.
The main issue now is that she has bald spots and pink irritated skin all over. We keep a tank top shirt on her to cover her skin which seems to stop her from biting, itching or scratching herself. We also follow that up with weekly bath with Chlorihexiderm and a daily therapeutic dose of prednisone.
Wondering if anybody has any experience with this type of cancer and any palliative suggestions for making her more comfortable. She is still her spunky self, eating all her kibble every day and wanting to go for walks whenever she gets a chance.
