Our puppy, Scout, is 15 weeks old today. Our problem is he turns into a crazy pup from about 7:30-10:00 every night. It used to be that we'd play with him from about 8:00-8:45 or 9:00 and he'd be tuckered out and take a nap until we'd go to bed (he sleeps in his crate in our room). But now he's going until we go to bed (he does settle down right away in his crate). If my husband and I try to just sit on the couch and ignore him he jumps up and the only thing that makes him stop is to play with him. I konw his puppy teeth will start coming out soon so I'm not sure if that is the issue or what. I don't want him to start thinking he can demand attention whenever he wants, but then again he is still just a puppy. Any advice from experienced owners?

We are in the same boat with our 17 week old. We have seen some improvements but still very demanding of our attention. Also, over-stimulation can be from being tired. Watch out for that.

I know it will end so I try to keep a positive attitude and enjoy this small window. Still, sometimes the behavior is very frustrationg.

I walk Bailey during the day and that helped with the extra energy at night. She seem to grow out of that crazy stage once I started to walk her everyday.

Instead of playing, try doing some simple training. Make him work for attention. Work on sit, down, stay, come. Once he starts getting better, make him stay a little longer, on a bed or an area.
