This last 4th of July my family and I headed back to OH to spend time with the in-laws. On the 4th we spent most of the day in the backyard at my in-laws pool and I think Chupie had the best day of his life.

In the morning we cleaned all the patio furniture and so we got a bunch of the ground wet and created a small mud area. Chupie had a blast there. While we were cleaning the furniture he would try to get all the water from the hose and then would roll around in the mud. He later had a chance to swim for the first time and he loved the water. by the end of the day he was a pro...no more front paw splashing. We had to put up gates at the end of the day so he wouldn't go back into the pool.
We finished the night by going to the park and watching the fireworks (he has never been scared of them) and he had fun meeting other people. (He is 14 months old, and yet he acts like an excited puppy when he meets new people so we "train" every time he meets a new person so he learns that being calm gets him to meet new people...unfortunately he forgets with every new person he meets).

He was so ready to go "night-night" at the end of the day.
I wish we had taken more pictures, but here he is after his mud bath. :)
