Hello! I’m new to the Golden Retriever forum, but thought this would be the perfect place to ask for guidance! Our boy passed away 2 years ago of old age and we decided we’re now ready to adopt another golden. When we adopted him from a previous owner he was already 6 years old. Adopting a golden puppy is new to us, but we’ve decided to go the breeder route. We are now stuck with two choices:
Be the 1st pick of the litter out of 4 male pups, but we have to pick at 4 weeks.
or
Be the 3rd pick of the litter out of 7 male pups and we get to choose at 6 weeks.
Can you tell personality at 4 weeks? I guess this is where I’m stuck at. Would it be better to wait until 6 weeks to choose or 4 weeks? Thanks for your help!
