As you all know I lost my best friend on October 4th he was my buddy and companion . Each day I wake up and remember him as a happy dog that was just plain spoiled rotten we treated him as our child and when he passed I thought I would never be able to get past the grief but , with the help of all the fantastic GR members I have finally began to breathe again and to remember Chance as he should be remembered as a loyal boy who wanted nothing more than to be with us he was his happiest just lying next to us with his paw resting on ours . I would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt words that only one golden lover to another could understand Bless all of you from the bottom of our hearts . I know Chance is at the bridge teaching other Golden the art of making snow angels . :)

Chance

I am so glad that we could help you in some small way.
I would say almost all of us on this forum have lost a beloved dog or cat and know that grieving is a process.

I am so sorry you lost Chance on earth, but you know you will see him again at the Rainbow Bridge!!!

here is the link to your post about Chance:

So glad that you can remember Chance with a smile, and remember he will always be with you walking on silent paws

You will always miss him like crazy, and the tears will still come unbidden years later. But, when you think of Chance and remember him mostly with smiles, the healing has begun. I imagine he and Cody have made some outrageously wonderful snow angels by now....

I know how you feel, the memories stay forever. I still can't read 'Rainbow Bridge' without tears coming to my eyes and remember my dear Maggie. I know she's waiting there, young and full of life, playing with all her new pet friends. Hank has helped bring back so many of those forgotten puppy memories. I find myself saying "remember when Maggie used to...?" He's such a goof and so much fun.

It is good that you can smile thinking of Chance. I remember after Beau died, just thinking of him and I would cry. Now I can think of him or talk about him without crying.

It's still difficult reading rainbow bridge posts... all the memories come to the surface and the tears flow again.. this time for Chance. Sorry for your loss.

I remember the day I felt 'normal' again and could move throughout my day without tearing up at any moment...though I'm tearing up now. Your next days and weeks will probably be spent with a smile on your face as you remember Chance and all the happy memories surface.
