Our golden is almost a year old now and 3 days ago suddenly started refusing to go into her crate — at all! For a while we had her trained so that she would go in on command, then we'd give her a treat, but suddenly she wouldn't go in or she'd go in after a long, long time and bulldoze out while we were trying to close the door. We can't force her in because she is too strong and gets snappy (something we don't want to reinforce). Any tips? Anyone else had this problem? Why would she do this suddenly?

That seems strange that it would happen so suddenly after a year of going in with no issues. I don't have any advice for you but wonder if she is rebelling because she knows crate time means time away from her people and we know how much Golden's love their people! How long and under what cirumstances do you crate her?
