Last weekend while I was at a dog show, my mom, who was at my house watching Annabel for me, called to let me know she had found a bump on Annabel's back. Of course, any golden owner knows that when you hear anything about bump or lump, first thought is cancer.

I get home and my mom shows me what she was feeling. I told her "mom, that's her spine"

I guess you can tell my mom's dogs are very "well fed." Of course I am very relieved.

too funny! My mom just did something similar with my old Toby, who has lumps and bumps everywhere. She found one that "felt really different". She said it was real hard, not soft like the fatty ones. She said, come here, feel this, it's a big, hard lump.
It was his shoulder bone. I told her to feel the other side, amazing, there's a lump just like it!
DUH.
