This weekend we went down to Bart's parents' house to see them and Bart's brother, who was visiting from Colorado. Boone, Bart's brother, and his wife recently got a black lab puppy named Apache, who is a week younger than Dory. We burned a brush pile, and the girls all cuddled together.

Bart holding both of the girls in his lap, supposedly to keep them warm, but really they were also keeping him warm. Apache is on top, and Dory is on bottom. You can only tell them apart by Dory's fuzzy ear that she got from her golden retriever side.

Lucy was cold and let me wrap her up in this quilt. Then Dory decided that she wanted to snuggle next to her sister and took most of it. Then cousin Apache decided she needed to get in there too, despite the fact that her parents keep sweaters for her.

Eventually Lucy left the little girls to visit with everyone else. I didn't get a picture of it, but when Uncle Boone's friend JR came to visit, Lucy laid back down next to Dory and put a protective paw on her until she knew he was safe.
