Brooks has a new friend (and I guess we do too?)

We went away for the weekend and took Brooks with us. When we came back, this cat was at our garage door meowing. She is very skinny, but VERY friendly (tries to walk right in the house, not at all afraid of Brooks).

It looks like you have a new kitty. Brooks looks like he really likes his new little buddy.
Awwwwww orange kitties are my fave!!! Are ya gonna keep her? ;)
Precious

She is just precious?
Are you going to keep her?
What's her name?
I had computer issues so am just coming back to GRF.
I have never owned an orange cat before, and actually, hadn't PLANNED to own another cat.....
Look at her tail----that is all there is to it. Someone I knew said their cat was born with a tail just that long. Is that possible?
No idea about the tail! Take more pics, I wanna see your new kitty's face ;)
Lordy, if you only knew how much trouble I have posting pictures!!! She is unbelievably good natured. I think I want to keep her.
Here's a funny thing. We went camping for the weekend (and if I was any good at posting pictures, I would post the Roseate Spoonbill photos), anyway, my son came by here to check on our other 2 cats.
So after I saw the orange cat, I went out on the front porch, and saw an empty plastic dish and some MOUSE ENTRAILS!!!
I realized the kitty must have come and been fed by my son when he stopped by. Then, I guess she caught a mouse (while waiting for him to come back) and decided to return the favor by leaving the entrails for him. Ain't she sweet?

LOL if it wasn't so gross, it'd be an adorable story!! :p:
She is a very pretty kitty! Looks like Brooks likes his new friend. Can't wait to see more pictures.
Orange Tabbies are awesome. I was looking for two Orange Tabbies for my children years ago and came home with two awesome grays!
Usually orange tabbies are male. Females are kinda rare. Something else that makes her special. ;)
Hey what are you doing with my cat. She looks just like my Starr except for the tail. My Starr is the most outgoing cat and loves the dogs and other cats. Keep her and name her Minnie for the mouse she brought you.
Sometimes they pick you instead of the other way around! Minnie is darling!

Sent for a reason, perhaps? :)
Adorable cat! I hope you decide to keep her! It sounds like it was meant to be since she has already chosen you to be her family! Orange cats are one of my favorites. One of our cats is sort of a honey color with a small tint of orange. :bowl:
"Orange" is actually "red." Color in cats is sex-linked (X gene)and red is recessive. "Orange" males are more common because they only have to have one red gene, while females have to have have two red genes. They aren't that rare nor are they more prone to having medical issues - two common rumors.

She might be lost and chipped. Worth checking.

They look so good together. I hope you get to keep her.
Minnie! That name is great. She is very slim, has a very small face and paws, and VERY long, thin legs (I don't think I have ever seen such a long legged cat)
She was still here when I came home from work.
11 years ago, another cat showed up here and has been here ever since. Essie is getting very old--just sleeps all the time now. She was always a good mouser--an important thing when you live in a rural area as we do. So Minnie being a mouser is a great thing.

Oh yes it's possible. Manx cats have stub tails. Growing up we had an orange tabby/Manx boy and his tail was actually corkscrewed. It was just a little nubbin but if you felt it you could feel it winding around inside his fur.

She's a real cuttie! Hope you get to keep her! :)
