You will get nowhere by showing your puppy by yourself. I have been around breeders who want to do that and they couldn’t. The judges only point owners who have a handler. It’s a tidy little business. Also, it is also much like a soap opera. Many judges are sleeping with the handlers. It is not how beautiful your dog is, which it should be, it’s all who you know. It’s horrible that the politics in these show rings are so bad. Do not forget, one judge is making a decision. Do you think he or she could be “moved” to look in a certain direction. They are all making money and laughing at people spending 6-7,000 on their puppies. I breed and all my puppies can be show puppies. Again, it’s about who you know and how much money you have!

I'm not sure I jive...I've put AKC championships on four goldens, two boykins and put 12 and 11 points (all majors) on two other goldens...in the past almost 20 years...as an amateur handler...and have yet to sleep with a judge (that I can remember....), win because someone owed me a favor, or any other nonsense you're eschewing. Maybe things are different "DOWN UNDER"?
