Neutering does not stop the "red rocket in the fur pocket" from making its appearance. 
Boy Question
What the heck!!! A guy came over to pet our dog at my daughters soccer game. As the guy bent down to see him, he said "Does he still have it?" As he petted him, he looked at his boyhood area and said "Oh I see he does". We knew he was talking about the gland that comes out when excited. I didn't know if it meant that he hasn't been fixed and the guy was going to ask us to breed with his dog or if he was just preverted or what!! My husband and I were floored that someone was purposefully looking for that.
When we first got our pup, I had our vet explain it to my kids because they thought it was a sexual thing; the vet explaining that it is not. My question, does it stop coming out once he's neutered?

'Round here, we call that "the lipstick." And no, neutering does not change whether or not it will emerge when the dog is excited.
Red Rocket still definitely comes out. We actually got Lucky neutered last Friday. He is still a humping fool.....As for the guy at the soccer game, kind of weird. Although I notice a lot of people will ask me that about Lucky as well....just not in that weird of a way.

I'm lucky because our pup hasn't been a big humper. He had tried to do it when he was younger (to pillows and once to my daughter's leg) but it has stopped.
Neutering did take care of it with Danny. His was always hanging out before he was neutered. I haven't seen it since about 1-2 months post neuter.
