We took Gus with us this time, and he had a great time! Despite a few sporadic bark-fests, Gus was pretty good. He was very good off leash and came back whenever my husband whistled for him (now if I could just learn how to whistle!), and he only barked at 3 groups of people (maybe because he felt like they snuck up on him?). He also did well with all the other dogs there, sniffing but no growling or barking.

It was such a nice day today and near the end the clouds started to roll back in. It made for quite an experience!

Okay. I found out where you were. I was thinkin Max Patch, but didn't think that was right. It is lovely up there, but was probably rather cool.
DH and I went to Hendersonville Saturday and then to an apple orchard in Flat Rock. I sure wish I had brought a jacket or at least wore long sleeves!

Surprisingly, once we got up there, it was nice and warm. I thought I was going to be freezing based on how it felt on the way up. Mine and my husband's faces are a little sunburned even. We thought it was gonna be a dreary day because of all the fog, but as soon as we got up out of the clouds, it was a beautiful day!

I want to go to Max Patch Bald too! I love hikes where you can see all around you. My husband was laughing at me yesterday because I always talk about the Sound of Music when we're up there, and a little girl we passed on our way down was talking about it too

Your pictures sure are beautiful. The sky was gorgeous and you had a handsome model too.
Gus is such a good boy to be out running around and then coming back! I'm glad you all had a good day and it wasn't cold. I hate cold and winter is coming.................

It does look like a sound of music place.
