gundogsupply.com seems to have very good prices for Musher's Secret, but I would have to buy a few other items to make shipping the Canadian product from the US back to Canada worthwhile. We only have a couple of stores here that sell the 60g containers and it's $17 each!

It is what we call "paw wax". Very soothing for irritated paws from hot cement or snow. My doggies love it.

at the global pet food store at airport and queen i just bought a canadian made product called invisible booties it is a wax for $11.99. it is all natural. hopefully it works maddison and chance weren't enjoying their walks last week with all the salt.

About a month ago I was doing a prescription price match for some medications and saw Musher's Secret featured on the Drs Foster and Smith website. I had searched there a year ago and didn't find it so they must have just started carrying it.

I got my first order from 1-800 Pet Meds but they seem to be overpriced on just about everything.

I now get my pups' thyroid medications in bulk (1000 tablets) from kvsupply.com and they advertise Mushers Secret for $11.99, $17.99 and a big pound of it for horses for $22.95. I really like KV Supply from a customer service perspective, and their cheap thyroid med prices!

A quick Google search shows Amazon.com is advertising Mushers Secret as well.

I'm not sure about shipping rates to Canada. The maker is located in Canada so there is probably a much cheaper option in Canada!

Musher's Secret is great for winter paws, but we find it equally useful for pool paws from too much pool deck launching in the summer. It's a great product!

Does it leave a residue on your hardwood/tile floors?
Is it safe if licked off of feet?
Does it help melt the snow or just provide a barrier?

It is my understanding that it is against the forum's rules to advertise for online web retailers that sell dog-related products. No one on here is supposed to promote any dog-related businesses because that is advertising for those businesses. Forum friends did that for my website & got in trouble with the administrator.

I disagree.... we share places we shop and products we like all the time. That's part of the friendship of our community. While using this as an advertising venue for your own business is certainly not what this site is for, sharing good deals, places we've had good service etc. in the give and take friendship of the forum is a big asset IMO. I've learned tons here from people with more experience than I and part of that is products, businesses that aid our puppers.

Musher's Secret's website does not sell to individuals but to wholesalers. Someone in Illinois wished to know where they could purchase it and the website for the product they wanted lists dealers in their state.

I don't own a shop nor do I push a product that I sell. However, I have noticed that K9 Passion that you do sell products on your website and usually mention them in posts in BOLD lettering.

@Carolina&Casey - I used this product briefly and it doesn't leave a residue on the floor, but I made my pup wait for it to absorb into her paw. It is greasy to the touch and repels moisture. I wouldn't rely on it though when the temperatures go below a certain temperature as the chance of frost bite would be great above the 49th parallel.

Tonight I found Musher's Secret 60 g on sale ($4.60) with FREE shipping on Amazon. I just ordered some as we still have snow on the ground and it doesn't look like it's going to melt yet! I figured it is worth trying for that price!! I'm sending it off to my mom and dad's for Casey and Bea.
