Barley is a border collie/golden retriever/ australian shepherd mix. She started this whole not eating thing when she was a pup. We would buy her a food she seemed to love only to have her eat it perfectly fine for a few weeks or even a few days and then she wouldnt touch it again. She has done this to about 10 different foods and she is only a year old. Lately even if we mix warm water or canned food with it she still will only take a few bites. She is starving herself.... We feel so bad because now that she has lots her fuller winter coat she looks terrible. She doesn't look like those dogs you see on the commercials that havent been fed for weeks but her hips protrude and you can easily feel her ribs. We have asked many different vets and they all say, " its just a stage", "exercise her more and she will eat more" (she is walked all the time but she can't handle long walks anymore due to the fact that she isn't eating!!!!) and "stick it out, she'll get too hungry to care eventually". We are so worried about our baby and we just want her to eat and prosper. We are tried chicken broth mixed it but she won't even eat that. She eats canned food but we don't want to only feed her that... What are we supposed to do?

How scary for you. Has a vet checked are mouth and teeth? I would feed her canned food for now to get weight back on her then slowly add dry kibble.
