Congratulations Meggie!!! We are so proud of you! We will be there with you in spirit. Hope mom takes lots of pictures for us.
Way to go Meggie. Keep up the good work, we are all so proud of you. Wish I could be there to see her as grand marshall
That weekend is my Mom's birthday and I will be at her house.
Otherwise I would come - can't be too far. I would love to meet you and Megs.
Oh well, I will be at your side in spirit.
Way to go Megs you pretty girl!!!

oh yeah -and Cindy too.;)
Well, she gets to do it again the next weekend too. On Nov 21 she'll walk at Fisher River park in Dobson, NC. I've never been, but their website is beautiful.

If you'd really like to come Teresa, we'd love it!!

Thank you for the donation Noreen. ;) I don't imagine she'll break any records this time or come in first, but hopefully she can educate some fellow dog owners and inspire some new friends. This is still an American Cancer Society event and we'd love to help fund cancer research in Meggie's name.
I didn't check out the website since I am on slow dial-up so didn't realize Meggie was taking contributions. I can send you some lunch money again! I have about 30 pounds to spare so I can afford to eat less.:);):p:

We can't let Megs not be high in the standings!!!!!!!!!! She is such a wonderful example for so many people about cancer and also about the love of a good dog.

I shall see where Dobson, NC is and let you know if I can make it. That is Saturday isn't it??????? I hope it isn't more than 3 hours from me.
Dobson is dangerously close to Virginia sweetie. It would be a "pretty good haul" as we southerners say.

When you register for a Relay event it gives you a donation page. I know how tight things are for most folks, so please, no one feel obligated - you guys have done so much to get Meggie noticed as a cancer spokes-dog already. (We are letting them use Meggie's celebrity to draw in participants - ha! ha!) :p:
Well that squashes it. I can't handle that kind of a drive......
Let me know if she gets within 3 hours of Greenville, SC and I will come!

I'm still gonna send you some lunch money...... How much does it cost to mail change?
Yep, it's a "right fer piece". :) Change? Have you had to resort to waiting tables for tips??????

Meggie

You are our VERY OWN STAR!!:):):):):)
Wow walking in the BARK FOR LIFE EVENTS on Nov. 14th and Nov. 21st!!!!!!
She's the "Grand Marshall" Karen!! :p: Someone suggested she get to ride in a convertible.
I know times are difficult. If you can help out Meg for a good cause.

Cindy.... Tuff and I helped out a little. Hope you do well. Bless you my NC friends!:)
Thank you Al! I do know times are tough - we're not expecting Meg to break any records here. :) [Though you guys already have her in first place! :D ] This is as much about educating and getting people to understand that our canine friends are being diagnosed with this disease in staggering numbers.

Get this, according to Morris Animal foundation: One in four dogs will die of cancer—it is the No. 1 cause of death in dogs over the age of 2.
And according to the National Cancer Institute: One in four deaths in the United States is due to cancer, and one in three Americans will eventually develop some form of cancer. That's just unacceptable.

I agree Cindy it is unacceptable. Thank you for your devotion to this cause....:)oh and Meg too:)!
My aunt has a cabin in Sparta. Maybe I can convince my husband we should haul all the dogs up there next weekend. Sunday's his birthday, so I guess he has the final say...yeah right! :)
Margery!! That would be fantastic! It is gorgeous up there, even without leaves. Come on up. Either weekend, 14th is Elkin, the 21st is Dobson.
Meggie

Meggie should ABSOLUTELY ride in a convertible!!!:):)
I just donated - Meggie is close to her goal.
Can you donate a little and help her reach it? She only needs $15 more!

Either way - Megs is beautiful and shows people how much the love of a dog can mean to us and how much we truly value them.

Way to go Megs and Cindy. Show the world how wonderful you are.:):p:;):smooch:
Think you need to raise her Goal !
