Does anyone know any good pet friendly places to take your dog in So Cal? We've discovered a great fenced in dog park in San Dimas, and downtown Disney is a good place to walk dogs around. Any other attractions or cool places that are dog friendly that anyone knows about?

When we lived in SoCal we are in San Juan Capistrano. We walked at Dana PT harbor and some days drove to Solana Beach by the DelMar race track to dog beach. It was worth the drive because the dogs had so much fun.

Saturday, October 3rd is Lancaster's Annual Bark at the Park. I've heard it is a lot of fun. They have all types of activities and events going on.

I love this, I'm going to have to try and find a way there. My boyfriend refuses to miss USC football games for ANYTHING so maybe his mom or sister would wanna go with me, I think it would be so much fun. Thanks for the link!!

And I think Kaylee would love a dog beach, but she's not exactly well trained, lol. I'm afraid she'll run off and we'll have a time catching her. After we finish with puppy training and get her doing better with recalls, I definitely will look into those too!

There are 3 dog beaches in San Diego county. The one in Ocean Beach (central SD county) is really nice, wide open beach area but blocked in by two rocky piers, and the road is REALLY far back off the beach/coastline... even taking my dog there (he's got horrible recall) he stayed in the surf with the other dogs and didn't wander at all.

It can get really crowded there though, and sometimes you will run into not so nice dogs (we've had 2 bad experiences), but it is really fun for the dogs to get to play around in the ocean.

If you're ever down this way, I'd check it out :)

Haha. Do people really drive an hour or more to go to the Bark in the Park? It was nice having an agility show-and-go 10 minutes down the street, but I definitely wouldn't drive from the LA area for it. Although I haven't been for the past few years, so I guess it could be bigger and more interesting now.

My favorite part of the web site is the paragraph toward the bottom about how proud they are of the Singing Road ... when I'm home from college the only thing my friends and I can usually think of to do, unless there's a good movie playing, is go drive over the singing road. That's Lancaster. That and some Wal-Marts anyways.

I actually did go to Bark at the Park, sadly my boyfriend worked so me and my son and our pup went with his parents and 2 of their dogs. We had fun, mostly just walked around and enjoyed the other dogs and the time out of the house (for me). I have some pics too :)

Zoey (she's a border, which I'm sure is a big duh)

Me with Gracie, my bff's dog (Kaylee's bff)

The girls sitting nicely :)

And my favorite :) Though I'm sure they hated it!

Not a bad way to waste a few minutes ... one time we kept making U-turns and driving over at a bunch of different speeds, that was pretty entertaining.
