I'm trying to figure out what to use as Winchester's registered name. I'd like to combine a little of his dad's name and maybe his mom's if I can make it work. Would love some suggestions if you have any.

Sire: Chasen the Wind
Dam: Little Loup Tipperoo

Some considerations so far:
- Winchester Gunsmoke Downwind
- Winchester Gunsmoke in the Wind
- Winchester Fire in the Wind

From wikipedia: "The gun is colloquially known as "The Gun that Won the West", though public perception of its role in the Western Expansion is exaggerated due to the Winchester's prominence in 20th Century fictionalized accounts of that period."

Those are all great!!!! Thanks! Thanks also for the Wikepedia excerpt! I especially like "Chasen Loup Won the West." That one made me laugh.

Those are great names, but the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this thread was...

And trust me, LOL, you don't even have to consider it...

Winchestertonfieldville, Iowa

I know that's totally not a traditional AKC name, LMAO, but it's from one of my favorite movies, Mr. Deeds. =D

What is the kennel name? and are you not required for it to be added to the front of the name?

For instance, my guys are from Ambertru Goldens & their reg'd names are Ambertru's Nygel Ise the Bye and Ambertru's Razz Razz Metazz.

You also have to be careful about the number of letters in a reg'd name. I'm pretty sure that the maximum (including spaces) is 30 for CKC registration.

Hilarious! I remember that from the movie.

There's no kennel name, and his call name doesn't necessarily have to be in the registered name. I'm loving all of these suggestions. They are GREAT! Now I have too many good ones to pick from.

How about "That's how the West was won"

I believe Loup in French translates to "wolf".

So you could incorporate that also.

English
Lone Wolf Hunter

French
Loup Chasseur Solitaire

Or mixing

Lone Wolf Chasseur

Lone Loup Hunter
