Just a few questions regarding Bailey.
Whenever we see dogs on our walks she always pulls and wants to play with them, she's very friendly but of course very hyper. She also wants to jump up on anybody we see and it always takes a while until she settles down.. is that normal behavior? A lot of the puppies in our obedience class are very calm and are not trying to jump up and she's also the only one barking often during the class. They have to give her peanut butter bones to keep her calm. I think she's just frustrated because she can't play with the dogs in the obedience class.
On our walks she's constantly sniffing and eating anything she sees and when somebody is on the other side of the street she stands still and observes them, so I have to pull many times so that we can actually walk. Are your young puppies walking at this age.. without constantly sniffing and eating anything? We manage to walk 1.5-2 miles but of course it always takes us an hour or more, which is fine with me.. I usually let her sniff around and pull mostly when she tries to eat or grab thing she shouldn't take.
She's also still jumping up on me and trying to bite (nip) and now with my jacket on (due to colder weather) I don't get at least scratches like before, but it's annoying as I feel like my dog attacks me. I tell her no jumping,no bite and redirect her with some commands. She usually does stop it very fast.... but she does it at least 1-2 times during our walk. Is this also normal at this age?
She's also still nipping constantly at our 3 year old son so I keep them separated most of the time, which is of course not always very easy. When will the nipping stop? She's constantly loosing teeth, will it get less when all of the baby teeth are gone?
