Not sure if the best place to post this! I looked in the behavior problem, but got the feeling that it was more issue behaviors, so... here we are!

Pixie has now 1 year and 3 months old and she went (almost from day to night) from this active, rumbustious, duracell non stop little puppy into a calm well (most of the times) behaved young lady!

Not complaning here, but I remember seeing pics of people watching TV with their goldens and xilling and I would always thought " Never Pixie"! Now I think the behavior problem might be in me because I am a bit worried about this change! Have you also seen it with your dogs?

Things to know: we moved 3 months ago and now have a garden (our daily walks became now daily runs and play in the garden, which gets her more tired); my bf is not working at home, so she also gets more play time during the day; she eats normally and plays with us when we get her into the playing mode; she explores the garden a lot! So I dont think she is sick, but maybe she just grew up?

Am I still trying to hold on to my little puppy when as a matter of fact she is now a young lady?

My little pup will be a year old next week. I kind of went through the over night transformation too. She was wild and crazy...yeah i would have never thought about her actually hanging out on the couch with us. And then it seemed like one day she just got a little more mature. Its actually kind of nice.

It is nice, isnt it?

But a part of me keep worrying "what if something is not ok". But it makes sense that they grow up :)

So now have been through the stages:
- Land shark
- Keep your eyes on me all the time
- I play you play too
- Land shark
- To rest? What is that?
- Oh... and did I mention land shark?

But this was the biggest diference I noticed. I did try to teach her to relax, lay with us, but... a part of me was expectng to always see the bouncy Pixie non stop!!!!

I guess my girl is just mellowing down and I love it :D

I think she's just growing up... It's kind of sad when the puppy-ness fades isn't it?

The good thing is it will still come out in her from time to time I bet. Tucker still gets the zoomies once a day and still wiggles his entire body when he's happy. So parts of the puppy are still in there! LOL

Maybe that is exactly that, I am just a bit sad and not so much worried!

I love her more mellow side and being able to trust her more and more does make my life easier. But somehow I really didnt see it coming and had no idea it would be like this!!!

I guess I just need anther puppy :D Hum.... maybe not just yet ;)
