My 10 month old male retriever has been ill for 8 days now. We took him to the vets 4 days ago and she checked his stomack and bowel and couldnt feel anything out of the ordinary and decided to gove him a 24 anti sickness injection and also tablets to reduce acid in his stomach. Although after this didnt help. Wr havent changed his diet or noticed himeating anything when hes been out. Hes full of energy and wants his dinner/food. Since he only seems to do it at night we cut his dinner out tonight to see if that would help, instead he took a large drink of water and 5 minutes later was sick(mainly all fluid). He doesnt bring any other meals up and drinks plenty during the day. We are just confused as to why its just at night? Anyone know as the bet couldnt find anything? Any advice would be of great help

My french mastiff would throw up his full dinner, sometime during the night, at least three times a week. Thankfully he always went into the master bath to do so. He just had a sensitive stomach and was healthy as can be the rest of the time. The throwing up subsided as he got into his second year. Good Luck.

Perhaps it is time to change his diet. Dogs can develop sensitivities to ingredients in their food over time. Something to consider.
