When Honey was pup 2010 she'd limp every once in awhile and she was diagnosed with OCD. The orthopedic surgeon said it was like walking with sand in your shoes, (ouch😩), she had surgery in the fall of 2011. She never limped once after the surgery and as you can imagine, the hardest part was keeping a year old golden calm for the recovery period. The piece of cartilege that was removed was smaller than a grain of rice.
Good luck!

We were amazed by the fact that she didn't limp after surgery. Maybe because compared to Chloe, Honey only had '1 grain of rice' size piece of cartilage.
She seemed so sad without her balls to chase but it was worth it.

Actually the surgeon took x-rays of both of Honey's elbows and hips. It looked like there may have been a small piece of cartilage in her other shoulder, be we opted to wait and see. She was never bothered by it and ran, jumped and frolicked happily until we lost her almost a year ago to hemangiosarcoma.
