It's been 1 year today since my much-loved Mister went to the Bridge. I have thought about him and missed him every day since he left.

After looking for other dogs to fill the void, I have finally realized that the ache in my heart isn't longing for another golden retriever, it's longing just for Mister. The emptiness will never go away no matter how many other dogs I love- there's a part of my heart that will always be with him. We had a very special bond.

I just wanted to acknowledge this important day in my life and thank everyone for their support after he left.

On a positive note, Jude is doing excellent and we love him to pieces. He's 9 months old now. He's a great dog! He might be a golden mix, but he's got the personality of a true golden.

Anniversaries are so tough for us to deal with, it doesn;t take a special date for us to remember them, because we do it every day, but these anniversary dates are always so much harder to bear.

I hope that your happier memories of your lives together help you through

New loves do help me, but yes I still miss my bridge boys. Sigh. Too little time together, no matter how long it is.

The good memories are mine forever though and bring smiles every day.
