Hi Ya'll I'm struggling to get Bohdi Potato to have firm poops. He's been on Wellness Lamb and Barely for the past 3-4 months and before that he was on Science Diet Lamb and barley. I decided to switch to a better quality ingredient dog food and keep on Lamb to see if it would improve his poops...

Probably a dumb question, but does anyone have a solution to cleaning/“disinfecting” diarrhea from their backyard grass? Nova’s been having bad diarrhea (almost straight liquid) for a few days now after being spayed so we stopped her anti-inflammatory med and she’s doing a lot better. HOWEVER...

Hi guys, So I’m kind of frustrated not gonna lie! Even though Nova is only 5 months, she’s been having accidents lately in the past week (I’ve had her for a month now). She’s always slept all night without needing to pee from 9pm-6am, but lately she has been having accidents (pee AND poop!!) in...

Hi everyone, Posting again… because my Nova girl just woke up at 2am barking. Went downstairs and saw she had pooped in the corner of her crate. Looked closer and basically was dark brown smeared in a circle shape with a couple small rocks and bits of undigested potato from dinner. To me, looks...

Hi I am curious how much an 8 week puppy poops on average! My little guy has been pooping about 2-3 times a day, I would say they are good poops and I am happy with them! Should he be pooping more then that? I am feeding 1/2 cup of Purina puppy chow 3x a day right now. It is what the breeder had...

Hello! I've been feeding my Golden Retriever girl the hypoallergenic kibble brand Simpsons Premium Sensitive for around 4 months now. She only gets 280g a day because she has to get a bit of weight off. Anyways, I notice that she keeps pooping a lot this past year (she got Eukanuba before...

Hi everyone! I've been a lurker for a while now, ever since I got my Golden puppy, Jax, back in January. Now I'm hoping to get some opinions on a recurring issue I've been having with my baby. Sorry for the long post, I don't want to leave out any details that may be important. When he was a...

Hello everyone! Although I am new to this forum, I have actually been referring to the historical threads on here A LOT over the past few weeks – so thank you to everyone who has contributed in the past, you’ve all really helped us make the transition to being puppy owners so smooth! We have a...

As a new owner, Boomer will be 6 months old on 4/30/17. He's overweight I think but not obviously fat, but his waistline somewhat non-distinct. Vet examining him prior to my taking him listed him as overweight. He's quite close to 55 pounds. He is on Royal Canin Puppy Chow, 3+ cups per day, fed...

Hi all, I need help before I start thinking about killing Henry. Henry is an adorable dog, I love him to pieces but he eats other dogs' poop and I don't know how to stop it! I saw online that it might be nutritional deficiency but I don't think that's the case for two main reasons: he does...
  12. What did you DO???
Hi So I went to work today at 8:15 , leaving my 10 year old black 45lb mixed breed Nicky loose and 6 month old Golden HoneyBear in the dog crate. He had eaten around 7, and gone out twice, and pooped. When I got home at 2pm I immediately knew something was bad by the smell. Poor HoneyBear had...

Hi! Our 3 month old puppy has been on/off with diarrhea for ~2 weeks-- did all tests with vet (and emergency vet) and all negative. Did a course of Flagyl with I/D and as soon as it finished diarrhea came back. Transitioned to other prescription G/I diet and second round of flagyl with...

I've lurked on the forums a lot but this is my first post. And it's a long one, so sorry in advance! Some backstory - Our puppy Rylee is just a few days shy of 6 months old. She is a very high-energy "busy" puppy and we (my husband and I) love her very much. She is crated during the day while...

Hi everyone I'm planning to have my first pet golden retriever puppie so i'm new to this business I know most of dog owners make there dogs pee or poop outside the house and this thing concerns me because I'm wondering what if I was late for college in the morning and I can't walk him outside to...

This isn't really any issue for me in the suburbs, but when I lived in the city, I could see how it would be. I'm interested in hearing other's thoughts about this new technology. Using DNA to catch canine culprits - and their owners - Chicago Tribune
  17. Golden Retriever Puppy (up to 1 year)
Hi all, this is my first time on the website and first time with a new Golden puppy. We've had our baby golden (Harley) for a week now, she is 11 weeks old. Out of her many many poops this week, there have been 3 poops with a little blood at the end of the poop. It's a light red color and it...

Hey, everyone. I'm hoping someone here has run into this issue and found a resolution. We've had little Butters for a great five months now. He's about to turn seven months old in one more day, and he has always had poop problems. It's not as bad as it used to be, so I'm actually grateful...
  19. Golden Retrievers Main Discussion
Well, we've had our adopted golden Sammy now for almost 2 months. It's been a great time and Sammy is definitely happy with his new digs. He's been sleeping in his crate as he likes it there and feels safe. Anyway, for the last week or so instead of going to his crate, he makes sad faces and...

tI'm giving up to 1.5 cups dry honest kitchen with 1.5 cups kibble (divided by 2 meals) and my pup definitly has more poops as others have reported. I thought the healthier the food, the more it's absorbed and therefore less poop. Anyone know if that's true?
