I am hoping to get my first Golden Retriever puppy over the next couple of months and might be looking at a litter next week.
I just need a bit advice on the hip scores. I understand that the lower the score the better, but at what number is a score classed as bad?
I've been nonstop researching this online since my vet mentioned the awkward stance of my pup yesterday, but I thought I'd come to you for a bit of knowledge/insight. She said we should keep an eye on the way he's sitting and had a pretty worried look on her face, but kind of brushed...
My Chuck Bear turned 5 last November, and with the exception of a few ear infections from swimming at the beach, and allergies when he was a puppy, he's been perfectly healthy. He was a bit overweight a few months back, but he is now at a good weight.
I know I'm probably being an overbearing...
Not really a question if my 2 year old pup is underweight... can't see her ribs.
Was giving her back to butt rubs and noticed the 2 bones that is either the pelvis or the sacrum. The area on top between the back and the tail... Is this normal? Can you feel the bones on top of your golden's back?
