  1. Golden Retriever Puppy (up to 1 year)
Hi! I'm going to be getting my puppy in a few weeks and want to be all ready for when he arrives! I really want to get him a harness for when he's 8-14ish weeks but am unsure as to what size would fit him? He's a show-line golden and was 19-21oz at birth. Any helpful info?

Anyone have experience with the Wonder Walker? I just ordered it for Foster from Dolan's Doodads in Seattle. He currently wears a harness that clips in the back and his Puppy Kindergarten teacher had mentioned we should try a front-clip one. Any good results from front-clip harnesses?

Hi, My girl is 5 months now and just grew out of her last harness, and I'm hoping now I can get her something a little nicer quality (and maybe more stylish!) and it will still fit when she's grown. I'm not sure if this is possible or not, but just a hope! When I measure around her chest she's...

I'm looking for some honest input from people with experience with various collars for walking my 6 month old girl, Zoe. We have used the Wonder Walker since we got Zoe, and while it initially seemed to work to curb leash pulling, she seems immune to it now. I should preface my question with...

Interesting news expose on safety testing of popular harness and flea collars for dogs and cats. OnlineTV | Marketplace Story said only 1 of the 15 harnesses tested passed. Haven't seen any 2014 test results but the website has the SleepyPod ClickIt as the 2013 product of the year. Center...

Hi Everyone! I'm researching Sporn collars, and I'm finding that it's hard for me to get a lot of detailed info. I see a MESH non-pulling harness and a NYLON non-pulling harness . As you can see, the pictures look the same, and the NYLON one description says it's made of "mesh webbing." SO...

My Deanie boy starts his training Monday and his trainer said that I need a choke-slip type collar. The problem is I had a very bad experience with choke collars when I was a kid (a family member was watching my cocker spaniel and put her out on a tie out with her choker, she ended up choking...

This might be a silly question, but is there an easy way to put a harness on a puppy? Ours is about 3 months. I tell her to sit, but once I put the harness on the floor to slip her paws through, she starts chewing on it, making it difficult to buckle. When I finally have both sides ready...

We started a beginning tracking class today and part of our homework is to buy a non-restrictive tracking harness for Ben. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  11. Golden Retriever Training
Hey all! I would really appreciate any and all advice! I have a 2 year old Golden that is my heart and whom I lovingly describe as "that little boy in everyone's 1st grade class with ADHD", and although he cracks me up daily and I do not want to hinder his amazing spirit and personality, I have...

:) OK All~ You've been wonderful in sharing ideas. I'm finalizing some orders today and would like everyone's input. Please be specific as possible. I'll be purchasing a 3rd crate for the car. I'm leaning towards a wire one based on feedback. I'm also reading threads about dog...

Can anyone recommend a good comfortable harness that will keep your arm in the socket where it belongs? I often walk my two 70+ and 60+ pound girls by myself. I currently use the prong collar - although they are good and not inhumane as some may think, I still don't like them. I would prefer...
