My boy Marty will be 17 weeks tomorrow!! He has grown a bit since we got him at 9 weeks.
We have been using a Flea and Tick collar got from Costco but since heard there are pill and topical form.
Have any recommendations for either preference for Marty age? Thanks!
Hello! Our vet recommended we give a monthly dose of Sentinel to our 13-week puppy for preventative care. We live in Seattle and cases of heartworm in this region are low, as are ticks/mosquitos. However, being in a city with a high dog population, fleas are not uncommon. We also intend to hike...
I have prayed my little heart out and I've decided to give up on treating/preventing fleas naturally here in South Florida. I can't stand watching my little guy itch so much and knowing that I am risking him to catch diseases and worms while I try things that probably just aren't gonna cut it in...
Just wondering if anyone on here has used or currently uses ACV (Apple cider vinegar) for their pup? I'm still looking for natural flea prevention, and I've read that ACV is amazing. I've done hours of reading up on it. It can be given in their water/food or used diluted as a rinse after their...
So I am wondering what everyone uses on their fur babies for flea/tick prevention. I got Duffy off of Trifexis after reading the horror stories and on Heartgard Plus. I am feeling much better about that. But now I need to get him on a flea and tick med. The vet gave me Advantage II...
I got Zeus about 3 days ago, he was 38 days old at that time so 41 days old now.
He is on a cerelac diet (2 spoon baby food/cerelac and 8 spoon water).
Today I found a tick between his toes when he was scratching so I took him to the vet immediately. He removed the tick, and showed me some...
Our Chupie got his last set of puppy vaccinations two weeks ago. It's now the time for me to start treating for fleas/ticks and giving him his heartworm preventive.
So a couple questions:
Where do you get your meds from?
I checked 1800petmeds and amazon...certainly better prices but don't...
I narrowed down the flea prevention to:
- frontline plus
I still googled articles that said "frontline killed my dog"
Which is safest?
Any recommended natural remedies for flea prevention?
I decided I won't be giving my pup Trifexis after all. Yes, its a combo of interceptor and comfortis but I read lots of negative (deadly, scary reactions from comfortis).
Just curious which brands have been around the longest and that you recommend? I may not give the fleas year round since it...
My vet ended up giving us Trifexis. Heartworm and fleas in one. Im guessing part of the reason is it costs more than others.
I can't seem to find how the product works at killing these things - is it poisoning your dog? It's so new that I'm worried about a recall/side effect notice.
