'Adopted dog' section

Would like to suggest an 'adopted dog' section be created as place for those who have or are considering adopting an 'older' rescued or rehomed dog, as these threads tend to get 'lost' in the main discussion area.
Adopting a dog with some or considerable 'life experience' (good or not so good), is a unique situation, that many times new adopters are not sure what to expect and are at a loss of how to help their new family member adapt and adjust to their new homes. A 'go to' section where they could post their newly adopted 'life experienced' family members, express their joy and concerns and get help where needed with the transitioning, settling in and beyond process and hopefully where those who have travelled the 'adopted dog' journey can lend their voices of experience, and share their ups (and downs), tips and suggestions, of what has 'worked' for them along the way.

It is not the destination but the journey that matters. Thank you Charlie, for the journey, it was truly amazing!
Miss you so much, every day.

That is an excellent idea. I have two adopted/rehomed/rescued Goldens that have had their own (individual) scope of needs according to whatever their previous history had been, and it would have been very helpful to discuss some of the issues with someone who had the same experiences.

It has been both challenging and rewarding. I love them both dearly and they have become an integral part of our family life.
