Chuckit! ball thrower

This makes me mad. I bought one of those "Chuckit!" ball throwers back when our older dog was a puppy, about 7 years ago or so and it has been a really great, helpful thing to take to the park with my two Goldens so they can play their favorite thing in this entire world.."fetch". They live for the late afternoon everyday so they can run after the thrown balls and run them back to me. I finally had to buy another Chuckit! ball thrower because the old one finally started to crack. The new one is garbage! You cannot throw the ball that came with it, (or any tennis ball that it is designed to throw). What happens is the ball does not release until late in the throwing movement, causing it to end up being thrown almost at your feet! I've tried bending it open more, and spraying it with Pan. I guess I should have returned it to, but I think I threw the receipt out. The overall look of the item looks about the same as the old one, but there are a few design changes. Has anyone else had this kind of problem with this thing? I could throw a tennis ball a "country mile" with the older one, but not with the newer model! I'm lucky if I can throw it out 40 feet because it just goes downward!

Maybe this particular one is defective. I just bought a new one a few weeks ago and it works like your original one, ball flies forever.

You should have an email receipt for your Amazon purchase. You can return it easily with that, or just login to your Amazon account, go to your order history, and choose return on that order.

Try tossing the ball while your hand is still above your head. It took me a while to learn. I had bigger issues with the longer stick than with the shorther one (yep, had two!).

Go to your Amazon account, then order History.
Your ChuckIt order will show where the item is eligible to be returned by a certain date.
To the right you will see the Return or Replace Item option, you can do the transaction via your account, no receipt is necessary.

Hope you're able to return it or get a replacement. My boy loves his ChuckIt.
