Yes, after doing a lot of shopping around, I have pretty much decided to go with real leather...thanks for all the feedback!

And don't be fooled when they tell you it's "real" leather. Ask them what kind of leather it is. DO NOT, under any circumstance, get bonded leather. It's junk and will crack and peel in no time. We were shopping for a dining room table and my wife got distracted by a red leather couch. We ended up leaving the store with it and a matching recliner. Now, I am a researcher and that is not something I would normally do, but RED LEATHER COUCH! My wife is very plain when it comes to decoration, paint colors, etc., so I had to seize the opportunity. Man did I regret that. Less than two years later the headrest on the recliner started peeling. No problem I thought. I paid an extra $150 for a 5 year warranty that covered EVERYTHING - even if my kids took a knife to it. I called the warranty place and they sent out a rep. Soon after I got notice that my claim was rejected for NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR!!! Now I am stuck with a recliner that has a matching bald spot to my head. Again, do not get bonded leather - it's basically a very thin veneer of leather on top of whatever substrate they use.
