Crate recommendations?

Looking for a new crate, since the one we have is a bit bent up from previous resident. The one we have is wire, Midwest, but the door has a tendency to get in the way of passersby when open. I saw Midwest has the Ovation crate with the "garage door" type door, that flips up. Intriguing, since it would keep the door out of the way, but reviews are mixed. Anyone have any experience with this or one similar? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Don't know what size you are looking for but Amazon has the AmazonBasics Folding Metal Dog Crate 48" on sale right now. We paid $120 locally for what looks like the same crate. (Alaska prices!!!!)

If you are interested in a new traditional wire crate, I highly recommend this site - we got Noah's crate here and it's very well made.

I've not used the Midwest Ovation, so I can't offer feedback on that.

Most of my wire crates are around 20 years old and need replaced. My puppy sleeps in a drop pin crate. The newer full size one is from Petco. Iíll be watching this since I plan to replace my van crates soon.
