I have been giving my boys the dingo sticks and Smokehouse chicken N" stix for a couple of years now. Does anybody know anything about those treats? I went on both websites and the companies said they are not under recall on those particular treats. None of my boys got sick from the treats, only get one a day anyway and the big boys just had blood work done which showed no problems.
There are so many chicken treats and other treats out there, I wished the FDA would give a comprehensive list. I have not found a list anywhere about the chicken jerky recall.

I know that some of the Dingo treats were recalled last year or the year before...not sure which ones, though.

I won't take the risk of giving any chicken treats no matter where they're made. Chance got super sick for 2 days last winter from chicken treats, (of course Lucy was fine. ). Throwing up, bloody diarrhea and very lethargic. It was very scary. I will never give them again. There seems to be a constant issue with them. I almost bought some at Trader Joe's yesterday, (made in USA), but I just couldn't do it. Not worth it unless I make my own.

Thanks! I wish there was a clear report/list what is affected, what is not. "The FDA cautions: if your dog has these symptoms"? Why aren't they just pulling everything suspect off the shelves and be done with it? Surely, they can do better than that! But, here we go again "money money money".
Guess I won't buy my boys' favorite snacks anymore.

Thanks for re-posting the link DG, sent that to my friends when I saw it posted here back then.

What got me is that one of the people I told about this fed their dog this chicken jerky stuff after the fact. Dog threw it back up hours later, undigested. As I remember it was made in Thailand or some other foreign country.

As I remember, the FDA does not have the authority to issue a recall but can only advise companies to do so. The overseeing of the pet food industry is very sadly lacking. As time goes on I become more and more mistrustful. There are only a handful of companies I trust anymore..... and even those with caution.

I would urge anyone interested to read Dr. Marion Nestle's book on the pet food industry.

Thank you!
I have not found the treats I feed on the recall list. But I think, I will not buy the treats anymore.
