Did anyone get their dog neuter/spayed by the OSPCA?

Hi, I came across OSPCA's website, and found out that they will spay/neuter your dog for less than $100. My puppy is too small to think about neutering him at the moment, but I know our vet charges over $600. Not that I'm unwilling to pay the price, but the OSPCA does sound too good to be true, so just curious if anyone had experience with them before.

We got cosmo neutered at the BC SPCA. I work there too. We paid about $120. At our reg vet it was $650+. I know the vets at the SPCA personally and only allowed a specific dr to do the surgery. Had I not known anyone there I would have needed to think a lot more about it. Sometimes you get what you pay for, often not. to some extent the SPCA surgeries are so cheap because they cut out the extras - post op meds, extra fluids, individualized attention after surgery etc.

The other big thing is that at the SPCA (or other cheap clinics) the atmosphere is typical of high volume shelter clinics. My cat would do very poorly in such an environment, my dog thrives on it.

Samantha was fixed at a spay/neuter clinic in the US. We chose them because we had just moved and had not found a great vet yet. We didn't have any problems with the exception of minor suture reactions as they used only disolvable stitches. The suture reactions caused us more discomfort than her, however the staff there was less than professional.

Best of luck, and hoping that whatever you choose works out!
