Hey everyone!
Dick from Dichi just called me and told me that DICHI TOO MUCH FUN - (JOY) has had her puppies. my husband and i are on the list and will be bringing our first golden retriever home mid july. i just have a few questions ... Does anyone know anything about JOY, the mom? im just curious about her personality and what her temperament is... Also, we live in a large apartment but im worried that there wont be enough space becuase there is no private yard...this is our first dog and if theres any advice anyone wants to share with us it would be greatly appreciated! THANK YOU:crossfing

All I know is that every one of Dick's dogs that I have come in contact with have a wonderful temperament. I am sure that you will be happy. I think he just started breeding Joy as I have not heard of any other litters from her.
Best of luck. You are going to have great fun. Are you getting a boy or a girl?

I think Magiclover is getting a pup from this litter. Her two girls are/were (they just lost dear Magic) Dichi goldens. I would love having one of their dogs.

Living in an apt. you will just be spending alot of time walking/running. Goldens do well as long as they are with family!!!

We had Samantha in an apartment, then townhome for her first two years. You'll be fine, just prepare for lots of walks... even in pouring rain and deep snow... and buy your poop baggies ahead of time (the unforeseen hole in a grocery bag is the worst, which we learned the hard way several times).

Congrats on your new puppy and be sure to post lots of pictures!

I will be living in an apartment at school (I am at home now for the summer) with Beamer starting in August.

I have two Dichi girls. They have a wonderful temperment. My girls enjoy our walks and love to meet people. I have a large yard that we hardly use. We spend our time in the parks and forest preserves so they can take it all in and explore. Your apartment will be fine. Your puppy will be happy where ever you are : ) Congratulations!

Oh congratulations! You will be very pleased with your new puppy. Who is the sire of the litter?

We are on their list as well. Not sure that it will be from that litter though. Dick and Chris are aware of our moving timeline back to the US and are looking to accomodate us after that. We arrive back on July 2nd so anytime after that we are ready. :)

We adopted our first Golden from DICHI in 2002 and immediately moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. We also were worried about the size but found the best answer to be the outdoor tennis courts at our complex as well as routine walking. Our dog loved to chase a ball around the fenced in courts. Also look for a local dog park to get your puppy the exercise they need. The size of the apartment will not matter as long as they get enough outdoor time.
