Hello from SC
Hello,
I want to officially introduce myself and my puppy - Gabe the Babe.
I've been bouncing around the forums like a first trip to a library - so many books, so little time.
Nice to see some other SC people too.
I too am a Golden Retriever lover and obsessed puppy mom. Most people that know me tell me that when they die they want to come back as one of my dogs. I think that's the norm with Golden Mommies, we love them like crazy.
Last March I lost my beloved Gus. Only nine. In fact we were out of town due to the death of my mother. A double whammy, ending up in the emergency vet clinic in Richmond. The cardiologist on duty doing a procedure and telling me the word 'hermangioscaroma'. "I was lucky he was still alive". God gave me 19 extra days. 19 days to say goodbye. Even then, I wanted 20. That's a long story for another day...I'm still not going to the 'heart breaking' page - can't handle it even yet.
The good news is....enter Mr. Green a.k.a. Heaven Sent Gabriel. My Christmas morning little angel puppy. White as the heavens and just as blessed. We just call him Gabe....Gabe the Babe. A house is not a home without a Golden in it.
Well, thanks for the updates and information. I look forward to your advice, guidance and knowledge to take us on this journey of puppyhood.

So sorry for your loss of Gus, Your little Gabe is a doll-hope to see many more pics of him soon.
I'm familiar with FHGRR-I help with Intakes for CFGRR.
FHGRR is one of the featured Rescues for the month of October here on the forum. Your group has nice looking dogs available for adoption.

Gabe is absolutely adorable.
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your mother and Gus. I'm sure they are both together keeping watch over you.

Augie is so cute. Don't they change and grow so fast.
When our Gus was grown I realized I had not taken enough photos when he was a puppy. I love photography and poor Gabe has a zillion photos already. He no longer looks like that sleeping photo, but, he was home only one week when that was taken and loved his puppy naps.
I know Gus is in heaven with our other two Goldens Griz and Saddie. My mom is probably feeding them food bits under the table, and taking them all for walks in the gardens.

Solas = great photos and beautiful dogs - Jake's smile....contagious
2golddogs = LOVE the eyebrows! I remember on our Gus - his eyebrows were so active. My brother called him Wally after the movie with the little robot eyes that went up and down with emotion....
