Hello, I'm Lori, Holly'sMom:wavey:

Holly is 17 weeks old this very day!! She's our first dog, well back when hubby and I got married he had his Brittany Spaniel, but she passed right after, at the age of 16.

Been married 17 years, so we waited a while:D When I was a kid I always wanted a GR, but we didn't have the room. So when we decided to get our boys a dog, I knew I wanted a GR. I finally got my dream doggie. She's a wonderful dog (although I don't think she's aware of her dog status..LOL) She is my breathing slippers, when I stop or sit anywere, she's on my feet. I think if I had gotten a littermate of hers, I could have had a nice pair of fuzzy slippers. She loves to sleep in the bed, something I said I'd never have a big dog do...but Goldies aren't really THAT big ;) Plus tonight hubby said we should have gotten another one for her to have to play with!! I had been thinking the same thing, so now that I know he's up for it (hey he mentioned it, can't take it back now:scratchch) We may be a multiple Goldie family:D

Anyway I wanted to post some pics, say HOWDY :wavey:, and just give some info on my furbaby. I am at the site almost daily, am learning a lot...it's a great place for a Golden Newbie!!!

And her favorite napping spot, and position (go figure:uhoh:)

Goodness, I see my sweet Flem all over again (the sleeping position does it). Welcome to you and Holly.

She is so cute! She reminds me a little of Daisy at that age.

What a beautiful little girl. I think almost every golden owner has a picture of their golden sleeping on it's back like that...or as my now 35 year old neice said 31 years ago when she saw my irish Setter sleeping like that--"Aunt Sandra, Red is sleeping upside down with his teeth hanging out!"

Hello and wlecome from the Texas coast. We are owned and loved by 8 1/2 year old KayCee, a full golden we got at 8 weeks, and Honey an adopted golen mix who is 5 years old.

When we got KayCee, we had actually planned on getting a male. I had him picked out and this little female climbed up in hubby's lap, licked his face, she wasn't spoken for and even tho we couldn't not afford to buy two puppies--we did. We already had a 5 year old male golden. Anway, those puppies were great together and we never regretted getting two. Sadly I lost my precious Hunter 4 years ago last August to autoimmune hemolytic anemia and liver damage brought on by that 6 month heartworm preventative injection==which the FDA had them pull 10 months after his death. I am so thankful that I have kayCee.

Welcome to you and Holly,
She is a beautiful girl and looks like a real sweetie. Love the picture of her laying on her back. Now that you have been bitten by the golden bug, I see another pup in your future. They just worm their way into your heart and never let go. Dont let your hubby wheedle his way out of the second dog.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!!! I tell you, I am a much more informed Golden owner due to it, and I am very grateful!:p: I have to say i never knew a dog could be such fun. My mom had a poodle when I was at home, she's into poodles. Not saying poodles are bad, just something about them didn't move me much. I'm definately a Golden girl!!!:bowl:

My next post I have questions about food, but will save that for the proper forum. That and switching vets, due to a feeling I get about him, just don't think he's too concerned, and I want a vet who cares, doesn't act like I'm a fruitcake (I reserve that for people who know me, and know for a fact I'm nuts..LOL:D)

Anywho, thanks again!! I read most posts and see it's a great group of people here. TTFN as Tigger says :wavey:
