Talking Hello to everyone from Colorado!!!!

Why hello everyone! The name is Dreya, and i hail from the great (and cold) state of Colorado

My husband was so amazing to surprise me with our first puppy, Clementine Clea Rathke, last night....a COMPLETE surprise!!!

I grew up with a golden...my dad had me pick out Clea when I was a little 5 year old girl...and Clea stayed with us for a beautiful and amazing 16 years.

Sadly, she passed away in 2003.

My husband has known me since our freshman year of college, and so he's known my love for goldens all of these years.

After seeing the movie, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," I decided that at some point we were getting a Golden, and naming her Clementine. lol.

I had absolutely no clue that I was getting her this soon...but it's a joyous occasion, and reminds me that I married an amazing man!

Clem is next to me....no doubt dreaming of what she's going to eat next outside....

This is an absolutely fantastic site...I'm so glad Google mentioned it!!!!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words of inspiration...and not making fun of me for the dumb questions!

LOVE!!!!!

Hello and wlecome from the great --and not so warm at the moment--state of Texas! have an aunt and cousins living in pueblo, but i haven't been in the state in years. Tis a beautiful state.

your Clem is a beautiful puppy and i know you are going to enjoy her so much. looks like you read the 'rules'--pictures required' ha ha. Seems we never can see to many pictures of these wonderful dogs.

And do not worry about asking dumb question. How does anyone find the answer to a question if not asked? We all ask when it concerns our "fur kids.'

Hi Dreya, your new little pupper is very cute! I hope you weren't getting ferocious winds in the Springs today like we had up here; Clem would've wound up in Kansas! Nice that you honored your angel dog by using her name as Clem's middle name...

Welcome and your little girl is just beautiful. Your hubby is a sweetie for getting you your dream pup. A nice tribute to Clea using her name as a middle name. I actually did something similar for my Beau. His middle name is Forrest. Love the name and when I got my puppy, I choose Forrest as his first name. Also all of his family is named as nature theme. Grandmother River, mom Haley for a flower and Laurel Aunt. But we call him Bamabear. So if I ever lose my Beau (myheartdog) I will have his name passed on to his little brother.

Hi and welcome!

Clementine is beautiful! Please humor us with lots and lots of pictures of her and then maybe we won't tease you about dumb questions!!! LOL. Kidding, of course.

I have traveled to Colorado Springs for business and LOVE it there, so much so that it's on the top of my list of places to live when I can afford to leave MD. Such a nice, clean dog-friendly area!
