Several month lurker just wanted to say hey.

We purchased Scarlet from a breeder the week of Holloween. Her birthday was 8/31/2007. She is now almost 18 weeks and weighs 40 pounds. She seems to be a great dog. Has grown out of most of her nipping but still jumps up quite a bit, especially on our 2 youngest kids. She had her first puppy socialization class last Thursday and she was scared of all the smaller dogs. Weird because she chases all 3 of our cats and tries to lick and drools all over one of them when she (the cat) is in heat. Oh well just saying hello for the first time. Love all the posts and info I get about Goldens here.

Hello and welcome,
We have alot of members from Ohio. I had a female golden at one time named Katie Scarlett and she was a sweet but stubborn girl. Just like her namesake from Gone with the Wind.
I think that the next puppy class will be better. Small dogs look alot different and act differently then cats so it is probably that. Good luck with the next class. Cant wait to see pictures of her.

Welcome to the board! I have four nippers right now if you are starting to miss it. They'll be here 'til about the 22nd, then they're off to their new homes. That's one of the funnest stages. Just glad it doesn't last forever. hee hee ;)
