Dakota has always had softer stools but she has pooped 4 times in the past 2 hours. She is acting perfectly fine and eating her food now but she usually only goes 3-4 times a day and now she has done it 4 times already. She is still on antibiotics for coccidia but I just worry that something else is going on.
Ranger was pooping a lot a few weeks ago and I couldn't figure out why...until I realized he'd gotten 6 oz of liver for breakfast, a kong stuffed with freeze-dried liver treats, and that I'd used the same liver treats for training. WAY too much liver left him pooping 3 times the normal amount - luckily it was all firm.
How much food, treats, kongs, bones has she had today?
I'm not sure what happend but her pooping has gone back to normal so maybe it was due to her getting into some of my senior dog's food yesterday and that caused a tummy upset for her.
That is probably what the problem was. When they get more food that can cause it and also the coccidia can also make it happen.
