Here are some pics of my friends new golden doodle!! If you remember I asked a month ago how people on this board felt about golden doodles. :D Her name is Darby. These are pictures of Max and Darby's first playdate. I realize this might should go under the puppy page but as the golden doodle thread got so many responses, thought I'd put it where most people look.

Here she is!!

From the bottom...

Let's play!!

Darby loves to tug.

and at last, tired out!

Wow - she is so cute!! I find with Doodles that they always look different - and that one looks more "golden" than most... Max looks GIANT compared to her! :D

I have always thought there's at least one reason why I would have a goldendoodle and one reason why I would not.

For me the one positive would be intelligence. Goldens are #4 on the smarts list, poodle are #2....so a goldendoodle might be just a tick smarter than a golden.

Unfortunately most goldendoodles LOOK like a poodle:yuck:.

But this little girl...OH MAN!!!....this is what goldendoodles SHOULD look like IMHO. She is seriously sweet!!! Please keep us updated as she grows!!!!

I don't know much about doodles either - not sure how big she will grow. Today she is 5.7 pounds at 8 1/2 weeks old. She was from a litter of 9 so that may explain why she's so little. My friend thinks she may top out at 45 to 50 pounds based on mom's size (GR weighed about that.) Max and Darby will play all the time so I'll be sure to post more pics of her as she gets bigger. I am interested to see what she will look like all grown up too but I'm loving her just at the size she is for now. :)
