She is 3 years old now and finally has her health problem behind her. She had Canine Nasal Aspergillosis as a younster. It was a tough go for her (not good on my wallet either) as the stages were advanced because the Vets didnt diagnose it in time to treat it early.
Holey Moley, that condition is awful! I'd not heard of it in dogs before. Why do you think she picked up the infection, as Aspergillus fungal spores are probably everywhere...?
All I can say is Take Care OF it Early!!!! It took several trips to K-State and along with the $$ -- it will eventually take the dogs life and she was miserable through the whole ordeal.
She is now just a goof. Unrestrained on 3 acres, does not get people food, only 1/2 milk bone a day. It is really easy to control her weight at 2 feedings of Iams a day, and so far has no allergies. A good dog! Loves to carry around my old tennis shoe but cannot have doggie toys or tennis balls... she destroys them as on a mission. Her name is Torie and thank you all for your kind words..
Torie really prefers the outdoors .. Being Indoors is not her thing. We have to beg her to come in but she likes to make a quick trip through the house first thing in the mornings.. She seems to be making sure we haven't moved something. If anything is out of place or diffferent - she will notice it for sure.
Torie -- A Fresh bath - just after we got her from the Humane Society
I dog sat for Murphy (Harleys 1/2 brother) about a year and just by coincedence he went hope with a black spot on his tongue. Tom and Shani thought the dogs got into Magic Markers while I had them, the spot remains the same.

Nothing to be concerned about. I have heard it is just Genitics.
