Question for NH people!

We'll be up in NH this weekend and am just wondering if there's any good dog spots we can let Bailey run around and maybe go for a swim? We took her to the beach in Portsmouth last time we were up, but I think now that it's summer we can't have her out there.

Thanks for any ideas!

If you go to durham, NH there is the lamprey river
I can't remember the exact place but you can have the dogs off leash, also in durham/dover is Kingman farm owned by the university of new hampshire, we let our dogs off leash there

On the durham, NH campus is College Woods and we let the dogs off leash there too!

My super secret spot:

Entering durham on main street bear right with traffic, go up the hill take a left on Garrison (note on right dorm I used to live in)
At the intersection (Thompson hall, aka the clock/bell tower will be straight ahead) take a left you will go down the hill (beware of students jaywalking)
Right on Mill Road take it to the end
Left on Packers Falls Road
Stay left to stay on Packers Falls road
After a really sharp turn you should see a little parking area
no one says anything about off leash dogs (it's NH!)

cops mostly worry about people who jump off the bridge which is a completely different spot (down Bennett farm I think.)

Are you going to be in the Portsmouth area?
I believe that in York, ME (just minutes north), you can have dogs on the beach between 6pm and 8am.
also, check out Seapoint Beach (TINY) In Kittery, ME. http://www.goseacoast.com/detail.ihtml?lid=151&catID=34
No dogs are allowed on the state beaches in NH, BUT.... I have seen them being walked on the beach during those same hours (basically, when the lifeguards are off-duty).

Hope I've been helpful!

My in-laws are in Manchester, so we are up there fairly frequently. We've only been up once since having Bailey, which was when we took her to the beach. But, I know it's tougher to do that in the summer.
