Mixed Lineage.

I'm in the UK and looking for an American lineage dog if possible.
I have been in touch today with a breeder who has a female American imported Golden Retriever she thinks has been mated successfully with a European sire .Would I be right in thinking those puppies could look more like an American line or do they follow the sires more . Or am I being silly and its pot luck.

My Oakly is an American/British cross and he definately looks more like his British dad than his American mom.

Sophie has british bloodlines. She looks like her mom which is a canadian or should I say american type . Her siblings are much lighter than she is but do look more american style.

This is Sophie's Father's pedigree

Neither are Champions but their parents are (we'll see about Sophie)

The mission of the dog---I say it with all reverence---is the same as the mission of Christianity, namely, to teach mankind that the universe is ruled by love. (Dogs and Men)

It will depend on which of the two is more prepotent. In general, you assume that the more tightly bred of the parents will be more dominant but that is not always the case. If both are equally tightly or loosely bred, you could have a mix :-) with some looking more like their father and some more like their mother.
