Hello all,

I am new to this site but looking for reliable information about golden retriever puppies. I have seen on some breeder sites that they have training programs for puppies. What are your thoughts/opinions on this option?

Also, as I am reading many posts I see that some say that there are “red flags” with the English Crème goldens. Any specific reason?

Thanks in advance for all your guidance!

Be sure to check out the puppy section of the forum which can be found just a few links below.

First I'd have to ask what is done in these training programs. Just like breeders, training varies depending on who's providing the classes. Are these basic obedience classes or do they go even further beyond on to say agility? Maybe you could stop by the breeders and see one of these programs in session to see if it's for you and your puppy.

training = getting to know and understand how your individual dog ticks = bonding....

It doestn mean you cant bond, but I guess I question why get a puppy if you dont want to take advantage of that very special time in a dogs life. Think long and hard about giving that away, much less paying to give it away. I would be VERY sure that the training methods are methods you believe in and the socialization process is adequate.
