why cancer in such young dogs?

Why is this happening, it seems to he happening more.

That is a good question, and it sure seems to be happening more frequently; however, unless the owners got a cancer diagnosis from biopsy or necropsy, cause of death might be due to some other reason, such as a tick borne disease or even a heart defect.

The Golden Retriever Lifetime Study going on now promises to be very beneficial in research on the long term health and longevity of the breed. I urge anyone with a Golden with a Golden under age 2 that has an AKC pedigree/registration to participate in this study.
