Wink First advanced obedience class kicked Rocket's hiney...LOL!

We had our first advanced level obedience class yesterday. I think it blew a few fuses in Rocket's brain. Haha!!!! He's been like this ever since:

I LOVED it! Basic obedience was getting really boring. Advanced is actually a challenge, and fun! Getting to use the long line, and working up to off leash. Poor Rocket, though, didn't know what to make of "down on recall". After working so hard on a good recall, to then make him "down" before he gets to me is totally confusing to him. We'll get there, though....eventually.

In the meantime, this is the look I've been getting....

Classes sure make for tired puppies the following day! We just completed a 6 week advanced manners class (more socialization and chaining of commands than a formal obedience class) capping graduation with a nice meal out Friday night at a restaurant in a popular nightlife area in Dallas. Yogi is, of course , the cutest dog in his class (a jack russell, a pit bull and a large mixed breed with several mixes in him) so people passing him by and restaurant patrons flock to him first. All the proper greetings and then sitting politely while we humans ate was very tiring to him. He napped all day long yesterday after his two walks. I love a tired puppy!

haha I get the same look from Bentley after a hard class, except I think sometimes his middle toe extends a little farther than usual..that could be my imagination though

That is so funny Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We just did a phase 2 off leash program and it was a lot of fun.

I love it.

And can relate. The day after agility class Sydney always sleeps in a little.
