Car Sick

Does anyone else have trouble with their goldens getting car sick?

I have a 6 month old , Cooper and any time we take him for a ride in the car that lasts for more than a few minutes he begins to throw up. We have tried to get him used to the car by letting him sit in it with out actually moving and going on short trips but nothing seems to help. He does this when he is riding in his crate and when he is just sitting in the seat.

We are about to start traveling for the holidays and last time we made a trip it wasn't pretty.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

I give Izzi Bonine which was recommended by my vet. One tablet about an hour before I leave. NO FOOD. At times she will drool but most of the time she does not.
Hope this helps.

Both of my goldens suffered with this... through puppy-hood. It self-limited around one year old in both of them.

Speak to my baby softly, please
with a hug and warm hello.
He's a special gift to you, dear Lord
