Hi everyone!
Just found the forums and It's lovely to see such an active discussion for Golden Retrievers!
Guess I'll throw you all some questions I'm quite curious about
Unfortunately, the fortune isn't with me.
I'm starting to wonder if the time has come for my 13 years old female.
She has never been the most active dog out there, but the age has taken on her, getting slow and lazy.
However, one thing that frightens me the most is that both pees and **** inside.
Which surprises me since she is trained, it started out with just a couple of times a week for half a year ago, then escalated.
At this point, she lays down and pees herself then just run away.
Sometimes she does it straight in front of us, even when we have guests.
Last time was actually for 5 minutes ago, without letting us know, she just peed straight in the middle of the living room, and even though I yelled a bit on her, she just lay down and didn't seem to even care, which isn't like her at all, to be honest.
Mostly she seems alright, happy as always and can run for a bit once we're outside.
She also starts to get a bit gray hair around her face.
I'm not entirely sure what it is, but she is a bit black behind, I'm not sure if It's **** or just her hair that turns black?
So yeah, my question to you, has the time come or are these just the symptoms of natural aging?
I'm taking her to the animal doctor in a few days, just wanted to hear what you guys meant
Thanks,
Nickolay
